Bill Cunningham Associates deliver mental health awareness and well-being training for ordinary people with the aim of promoting health, challenging stigma and debunking myths and misconceptions

Bill Cunningham MSc, FRSA, MBPsS is a psychologist who has been delivering mental health awareness and well-being training since 2007. Clients have included the Home Office, Linklaters, the Co-operative and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. He has worked within prisons, for voluntary sector organisations such as MIND, the NHS and the Princes Trust.

Since 2009 he has been a National Trainer for the MHFA England CIC which controls the Mental Health First Aid course as delivered in England. In this capacity he helps train people to deliver the MHFA course and spread the mental health literacy across the country.

In 2010 he was Project Manager on a NEMHDU funded program to deliver free mental health training to nearly 400 people from hard to reach communities in the North East of England.

In 2011 he was involved in another project to train North Eastern prison staff to deliver the MHFA course in their establishments and built upon this experience in 2012 by delivering training on behalf of NHS Isle of Wight to prison Listeners and Violence Reduction Representatives at HMP Parkhurst, HMP Albany and HMP Camphill.

In 2013 he was approved by NHS Health Scotland to deliver the Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) course. He is an Associate Trainer for Carlisle and Eden MIND, a Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) practitioner and a member of the British Psychological Society.

Bill travels widely to deliver training and networks widely with other trainers. This provides him with access to some of the most experienced trainers in the country to help deliver the very best mental health and awareness training to clients.
